September 23 2014, Magnús Scheving passes over Sportacus role to former stunt double Dýri Kristjánsson.
Dýri was a stunt double for Sportacus for quite a while already but has never spoken nor has had a proper still-zoom to his face while on screen, however, as shown in the video (It's in Icelandic, but the English caption subtitles are available.) , Magnús admits that as his age aproaches to the 50th mark ; His energy's getting below adequate, maintaining his fitness level for Sportacus is increasingly difficult and that it's even getting difficult for him to go into a split.
He believes it's right to bring Dýri towards the center because of his obvious talent from early experience in acrobatics and that he has many years before he couldn't perform the role, Dýri also have stated his promise on trying his very best to be a good Sportacus.
So far, this news wasn't really published online as a recording of an English News Broadcast, but I'm sure it's at least in the papers by now... And I'm not really sure about his acting skills, how charismatic he is as Sportacus or even how he sounded like speaking English.
That is all. - Dee
